My cat likes to eat Ziplock Bags
I am at a loss here, my cat Joie (pronounced the same as Joey) Belstaff football has this weird habit. It started a few years back and she is the only cat I’ve ever seen do it. What does she do? She eats plastic ziplock bags. Ok really it’s any brand or style but Belstaff football she does it!
It starts out as licking, I’ll hear something funny in the kitchen to turn around and see her licking the grocery bags. Christmas this cat is in heaven, when they start those thicker non see thru bags. After she has licked them properly she moves onto chewing them. I will constantly find bags with cat teeth sized holes in them.
You also truly don’t know just how many plastic bags you have around your house till your cat eats them! I mean I use them to store clothes, blankets and toys! She’ll find her way under my bed for a good old chew!
We feed this cat, she has the pooch to prove it, however I think plastic is like kitty crack to her! She’s done it for years and never made herself sick so I am assuming it’s fairly harmless in the small doses she gets, but it does ruin my storage!
I’ve heard of rats and dogs doing this, but cats?!
Note to self write bag makers and ask if they use tuna flavoring in bags.
Also as this picture shows she likes sleeping on the toilet lid. And when Elliott was a baby, she always ate off the ends of bottl Belstaff football e nipples. Sometimes they would be brand new and she would still eat them, so it wasn’t t Belstaff football he smell of milk or anything. I seriously thought we were going to have to get rid of her at that point. Especially since she could open up drawers and cabinets to get to them. Finally we had to put them in a lockbox. The two babysitters he had sure thought it was strange that they had to put the empty bottle back in the fridge or immediately wash and dry the nipple and put it in the lockbox. lol
